I am completely overwhelmed with joy to have been commissioned to write a 10 minute piece for the London Symphony Orchestra following the Panufnik scheme! The new work will be premiered at theBarbican Centre in 2020/21.
I am so very happy to announce that I have received the 1st Prize in the 7th Edition of Île de Créations Composition Competition! My piece Ripped Tapestry was beautifully performed by Orchestre national d’Île-de-France, conducted by Jean Deroyer on the 21st of February at Centre des Bords de Marne, Paris, France!
I am very honored and excited to receive a financial award from Musique Nouvelle en Liberté and Radio France, an interview and broadcast on France Musique, the score of my piece published by Durand Salabert Eschig/UMPC and 5 more performances of the piece by Orchestre national d’Île-de-France.
Next performance is on the 29th of March at Philharmonie de Paris, Grande salle Pierre Boulez.

My 10 minutes long, 5-movement orchestral piece based on a medieval tune – l’homme armé – will be performed in Paris at Centre des bords de Marne by Orchestre national d’Île-de-France, conducted by Jean Deroyer on 21st of February 2019, after which the winner will be announced!
I am so excited to share that Lauri Supponen, Matilda Seppälä, Niilo Tarnanen, Touko Niemi and I (Ears of the Blid Wall -collective), were commissioned to co-write a piece for Esa-Pekka Salonen’s 60th Birthday concert, opening the Helsingin juhlaviikot / Helsinki Festival!
The work Massahumu for large orchestra, choir, tape and video will be performed on the 17th of August at Kansallisooppera – Finnish National Opera, by the resident orchestra and choir, conducted by Esa-Pekka Salonen.
