PROGRAMME NOTE
Soliloquy was written during a quiet few weeks in Finland, in deep winter. The work’s repetitive and reflective sound world, paired with the breath-like ebb and flow of the accordion, gave rise to the title: the accordion is in conversation with itself, meditating upon an idea or two.
